June Homdayjanakul (she/her/hers) is a public health professional with a focus on the intersection between community and behavioral health and emerging infectious diseases. Dr. Homdayjanakul holds a doctorate of public health in Community and Behavioral Health with a minor in Epidemiology. She has extensive work experience in pandemic preparedness and response in global, national, and local contexts. Her doctoral research on trust and trustworthiness in public health is community-rooted and guided by a cultural-historical lens. A daughter of and sister to Thai-Chinese-Mon immigrants, June grew up as an active member of the local Asian community. Through Thai traditional dance, she has remained connected to her cultural roots and applies this other way of knowing to her academic research. June currently serves on the Steering Committee for the Aurora Asian Pacific Community Partnership.
