Biographical information
Cristian Solano-Córdova is the Director of Communications, Outreach and Development at Motus Theater. Cristian is a Denver, CO based DACA recipient, born in Chihuahua, Mexico. He began working for the immigrant community in 2015 when he won an election to become the first DACAmented Student Body President at the Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he organized student governments across Colorado to prevent a budget cut to higher education. From 2017 to 2020, Cristian was Communications Director at the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC), where he led communications for legal services for green card holders and DACA recipients, voter registration and integration efforts for new Americans, legislative campaigns to protect Colorado’s undocumented community, and non-partisan C3 and C4 electoral programs to ensure the electorate accurately reflects the diversity of Colorado communities. From 2020-2023 he was Digital Communications Manager and Communications Director with the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA), working with communicators across NPNA’s 61 member organizations across 40 states to advance immigrant integration efforts through advocacy, organizing campaigns, and policy initiatives.
He brings six years of advocacy, campaign, and organizing experience at the state and national level to Motus Theater, which develops impactful stories with immigrant communities, people who have experienced injustice under the criminal legal system, and transgender and non-binary leaders in our communities.
